SWD treatment is an effective way of treating spider veins and thread veins on the skin. It is a low risk, non-invasive treatment and a quick procedure in clinic.

Almost half of all adults suffer from thread veins or ‘spider veins’ and they are caused by blood vessels that appear red, purple or blue and are clearly visible through your skin. A very fine needle is used to prick the skin over the veins and some results will be visible immediately but the final results will be seen four to six weeks post-treatment.

Not only is skin clearer but it can really do wonders for patients confidence and well being. Multiple treatments may be required and this will be decided upon assessing the area. There is a small amount of downtime post treatment, the skin may be slightly pink and puffy but normal, everyday activities can be carried out afterwards. Consultation is needed.
