Melasma or pigmentation concerns.

Melasma (or Chloasma) is a skin concern present as brown discoloured patched of skin. It is often seen in adult women between the ages of 20 and 40 and thought to have a genetic component to its cause and is often exacerbated by changes in hormonal activity and sun light . Although more common in women,  It can also affect men, and is usually more pronounced in the summer months. It is not contagious but can be difficult to conceal resulting in a profound effect on self confidence.

Melasma can be seen on various areas of the body, especially on visible areas like the cheeks, nose and forehead. It is often fairly symmetrical in presentation and seen commonly in those who are pregnant or on the contraceptive pill.
